The Parish of St. Peter's Tankersley and St. Pauls Pilley

We welcome people of any age for Baptism.

Whatever age you are, it is the start of a lifelong journey and commitment to follow Christ

When do Baptisms take place?

Normally during the 9.30am Sunday morning service, on the fourth Sunday in the month. This is a service when everyone meets together for worship. We promise to support and pray for those to be baptised.

Who can be Baptised?

Normally anyone who lives in the parish of St Peter’s Church, plus those outside this geographical area who worship here regularly.

How do I arrange a Baptism?

Please contact Canon Keith Hale on 01226 744140. Keith will come to see you and talk you through all that you need to know.

Who can be a Godparent?

The Church of England requires all Godparents to have been baptized themselves. They do not have to be members of the Church of England.

We hope this answers some of your questions and we look forward to talking to you about this important event.
